What is this site error?

We're trying to login to my ds's Kroger employee site to get his schedule. The sign-in page is fine. He puts in his user id and password and we know those are correct. Then instead of his dashboard coming up, we get an error page. It says:

 

Sorry, the page you are looking for does not exist or is not available.

 

Then it gives hits like you see when you google. We tried the first one which is a login page for the site where he has his personal information like pay stubs. When he puts in his information on that one, it says:

 

Incorrect address. The web address or bookmark or "favorites" entry you used appears to be invalid.

 

Is this a problem with their site? Maybe temporary? We'll try again later but this is so frustrating. I told him he should call a store manager to ask if they know about the problem. How long would you wait to see if it is repaired? He needs to know before Sunday 12:00am since that is the first day of the new week.

Double check the URL of the web site you are trying to connect to.  I had an issue recently trying to log into my VPN.  The text file I had that information in had a / at the end of the URL. That may have worked before, but it does not work now. When I removed the / I was able to log in without problem.

 

I would be checking today, if the new work week begins on Sunday. Today is Friday...

 

It could be that the web site is having issues. For example,  you will sometimes see something like "Cannot connect to Database Server".  

 

I just reread part of the OP.  You may be getting an Authentication Error where the web server is unable to properly check his user name and password and send him on his way.

 

Again, I would suggest he communicate about this now. 1239 Noon E.S.T. here in Colombia....

Yesterday I tried to go online to see the new weekly ad for a grocery store that is owned by Kroger and I had the same issue. I tried throughout the day and never got it to work. I just checked it again and now the page just loads a blank gray screen with no message. I think the issue might be on Kroger's end.

I tried a different browser and that didn't work. They supposedly do post a written schedule in the store which is good for situations like this. If the Kroger site was messed up yesterday and still today, that doesn't sound promising. He'll ask his boss if he knows anything. Rats!

Well, his boss didn't comment when ds told him he couldn't log in to get his schedule. He just handed him a written schedule. So we still don't know if it's their problem or ours! I'm so frustrated. We'll continue checking throughout the week. If it's not back by next Friday, I'm going to suggest ds talk to the other boss the one higher up on the chain of command.

Try to log in from another machine.  That's how I discovered I had a glitch with the URL to log into my VPN on this machine. On my backup laptop, I got right in. If you do not have another computer, try it from a phone or a tablet.  If you cannot get in on another machine, then I would think the problem is not on your end.

We did try on another computer. I've been researching it and I found 2 posts from 2015 and 2016 about similar errors. One said it was his password. Ds did just change his password at work. He has to do it at one of their computers every 3 months. I'm wondering if something went wrong. I would imagine it asked him to put it in twice to verify it but I don't know. I'll have to ask him when he wakes up.

He may think he knows what his new password is, but it may be slightly different than what he thinks it is.  If he gets to the Login page and can click on "Forgot my Password" the system (if it is working properly) will send him an email so he can   Reset his password.  If he does that, be sure to write it down (Block letters) and have a combination of Letters (upper and lower case), numbers, and special characters.
