What's with the ads?

I was wondering what you guys can tell me about this for an 8th grader?  Was it good?  was it interesting? experiments?  Just a general overall review please.

Here are some resources I gathered/used for forensic science. It's been a long time, so I don't remember details, but there are TONS of free activities and units on the internet. I think the first one is a full course.
