OneStepAtATime
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Gah is right! Ugh! Anyone able to help Aimee out with a cloning machine? 'Cause I'm pretty sure she is going to need at least two more of her, preferably 3. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

AimeeM
No advice, just :grouphug: :grouphug: Do you have any family willing to help? We have no local family. Or friends, frankly, who haven't similarly full plates.
Crimson Wife
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Have you looked into your options for SPED preschool where your youngest could get ST and OT as pull-outs? I didn't like the idea of putting my SN child in preschool but it has worked well for her and allowed me to keep HSing my other kids. I didn't like the idea of putting my SN child in preschool but it has worked well for her and allowed me to keep HSing my other kids. The school we are in district for isn't an option for us. We did look into it. I'm not at all happy with the in-school options for OT and ST. He specifically needs major sensory input in his OT, and most school therapies are pretty "sit at the table and do what I say." In other words, I'd like to choose my therapists, especially after his last OT disaster. I'm not even looking right now (into all of the therapies they want for the kids). Right now I'm just trying to come to terms with the dx's and enjoy the kids for a bit, before anything becomes chaotic. DS8 has some medical appointments coming up, as well as some bone-age scans he needs to have re-done, so we'll get through those (and, honestly, I want to pick the brains of the doctors who have known him most of his life regarding the new dx's).

PeterPan
I had a socially typical person (a very nice person!) tell me recently that 'Autism is another way of seeing the world" as a sort of way to show her empathy and awareness or whatever. Apparently they've been doing that kind of awareness in the schools. And I'm thinking no, autism just sucks. Like stop sugar-coating it.
