We began homeschooling when we pulled my dd from 1st grade 16-1/2 years ago. We never thought we'd do it for more than a few years, but my younger ds never went to "real" school, and both kids were homeschooled all the way through high school.

We began using TWTM and SOTW within six months of beginning homeschooling.

My daughter graduates from college in two weeks from a large state university's Honors College where she maintained a 3.7 - 3.8 GPA (waiting to see if she makes that magna cum laude distinction).

All through school, it's been my privilege to proofread her academic papers, mostly reading for clarity and pointing out the errant comma. She never needed me to, but it was her way of sharing her work with me and letting me know what she was working on.

Tonight she wrote her last paper for school. Tonight I proofread that last paper.

Like I told her, no one ever says, "Wow, this is the first paper I'll write for college!" But that final one--oh, that's a biggie. And I'm a little teary over it tonight.
