Bristayl
Debating whether to see the movie "Gifted". Can anyone who has seen it share their opinion? Wondering how it portrays gifted children and decisions about their education--i.e. would I appreciate the movie or would I feel like it was making me out to be the bad guy, haha! HomeAgain
I took my rising 2nd grader. McKenna Grace was very good in her role. It was like watching a character of my son on screen: the same mannerisms, the same attitude...it took my breath away. As for his opinion, he was in love. He only made it through pre-algebra last year and was in awe of her ability. The movie focused mainly on two relationships, her guardian uncle and her maternal grandmother both in relation to her, and the intricacies of their pasts. It was not so much about being gifted as it was about how simple choices affect us lifelong. We enjoyed it, but I don't think it spoke to the issue of raising gifted kids, certainly not more than Little Man Tate or Searching For Bobby Fischer.
SeaConquest
Sacha and I saw it. I was disappointed. It was basically a movie about a custody battle.
