emmaluv+2more Posted April 3, 2017 Share Posted April 3, 2017 I am wanting to move my DD from Singapore into AoPS Pre A next year, but have noticed the need to have covered negative numbers. Singapore has not touched this yet, so I'm needing something cheap to teach negative numbers over the summer. I could just teach it w/o a resource, but I've got a full plate right now so just don't want to. Suggestions? Are negative numbers covered in any of the Key to books? FWIW, I vaguely recall teaching the topic without a resource in a very short timeframe. IIRC, there is a conceptual discussion of negation and subtraction in chapter 1 of AoPS Prealgebra that might help firm everything up.
