Farrar Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Yes. Costco had them. They're nice little guides. Well made. I'm a bit hung up about how you would use them though. I've seen people mention them several times. I guess they could be a spine and text for a yearlong course of "making sure we covered that." They're solidly middle school level. If you have kids who like to look things up, they're a good reference. Or kids who like to browse fact books, they'd be a fun read to have on hand. The English Language, I'm having the kids read the chapter and then answer the questions at the end in a notebook. We've done grammar over the years and we've been mainly doing corrections in writing at this point but I liked the idea of a simple run through of everything. I'm probably going to do something similar with the Science one but I'll probably find either videos or experiments for many of the chapters, in addition to answering the questions. We do science kind of randomly this year with 4-H and whatever topic comes up, but I like the idea of getting at least an overview in a logical sequence.
