Night Elf
I think he's in a training class in another county. If he is, I have no idea what time he'll be home. I was too embarrassed to ask him again this morning where he'd be today because I know he told me twice. I just don't remember if training is today or next Thursday. I'm so forgetful. I guess I'll make dinner later than usual tonight and if he gets home before it's ready then we're good to go!
J-rap
At first I read that as "I think he's in a training class in another country." I figured he must be a real international traveler if you couldn't recall which country he was in today! And how in the world would he even be home in time for dinner?!
AnnE-girl
I do that too. I finally just asked DH to put all of his stuff on the family calendar because keeping track of the kids' schedules was enough for my brain to handle. He sometimes remembers to write it down. IfIOnly
Haha! I texted DH this morning to ask when he's be home today. He's flying in from FL after spending a couple of days marketing his new product. Building contactor by day, inventor by night and weekends. Exhausting!
Rachel
No need to be embarrassed. I can't keep track my my husband's schedule at all. I've asked him to text me the name of the town just in case there is an emergency. Recently I thought he was in WV and he was actually in TX.

prairiewindmomma
I used to feel judgey about this until dh began traveling more with work. No shame, sister, no shame. Thank heavens for shared family calendars!
kitten18
I have a bad habit of asking dh where he's going and what time he'll be home and then my brain has moved on to the next thing while he's answering me and I don't really process his answer. 😕 I don't feel too bad though. He asks me every night what times the kids classes (ballet and gymnastics) get out. Their schedule is different every day but it has been the same weekly schedule since August.
IfIOnly
It's so cool that he's an inventor!!! :hurray: I'm hoping he was in Florida pitching his product to HSN so we can all watch him on TV. :) You are so sweet. Thank you! His mind is amazing, but, oh, his inventor self is utterly exhausting. LOL. Night, weekends, so much work on top of a full time work with all of us helping on top of our work! His product isn't something the general public would need though. It's a patented machine that gets further down air ducts to clean more of the duct and cleans it better, really. He had a great reception at the NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaning Assoc.) convention, made good contacts, and sold some product to companies who stated they'll buy more if they like it. We'll see! I've been down this road many times before. LOL. My DH keeps telling me that he he heard it takes about 14 inventions or business ventures or patents or whatever to finally be successful or something or other like that. If that's true, I'd say his time is about to arrive. :p His dad was a successful inventor, so it's in the genes. Here's his product: http://viperduct.com/ Edited March 23, 2017 by ifIonlyhadabrain

I should have said another town. I don't know why I was thinking in terms of counties. And to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what town or county he's in! Again I know he told me I just didn't hang onto the answer.

It looks like the company is already huge and successful. I'm so impressed!!! My great-uncle was an inventor and he was massively successful, so I'm hoping your dh has the same level of success. But it would have been nice to see him on HSN. ;)
zoobie
I'd text "hey hot stuff, what time do you want dinner?" and pretend I hadn't forgotten.
Ausmumof3
I've done this. Too often. Sometimes there's just so much going on in my poor little Mum brain
TravelingChris
Dh normally has stuff on Google Calendar and we both see each other's calendars. But yes, I have done this too- too many times. ADHD doesn't help the issue.
heartlikealion
I read country, too lol. My dh said something about a meeting at 3pm. I thought he'd come straight home after the meeting, possibly getting here early. Finally got a text back at 5pm saying he's in the meeting. Either I misunderstood or that's one long meeting. I gave up and put dinner away. Honestly was thinking he just didn't charge his phone. The battery life is awful on his and mine has been acting up, too. We tried Google calendar before, but it seemed he never updated his or something. He never really looked at what I put on mine nor does he read the calendar that I physically write on that hangs on the wall. He can literally be a foot away from it and I'll say, "read the calendar" and he'll say, "just tell me."

Maybe someday he'll come up with something more mainstream and will get to meet Laurie from Shark Tank and QVC. We love her!:P That's so neat and interesting about your Uncle! Thank you again, and I will make sure to give DH your well wishes and encouraging words too. It's kind of like kids, somehow the enthusiasm and cheering wanes after so many.;) Edited March 23, 2017 by ifIonlyhadabrain

My husband works in the oil and gas industry and will regularly work at different locations. Just the other day I asked him what city he is working in again? I couldn't remember at all!
