4KookieKids
I've been looking for Christian biographies to read in the evenings with my kids. I've come across Trailblazers, Christian Heroes then and Now, and Lightkeepers (seem like they may not be real stories, but it's unclear). I'm wondering if folks here can recommend something else or if you can strongly recommend one of these over the others? I'd really like some picture book options as well as short chapter books! Loesje22000
Besides Simonette Carr we used: http://www.ywampublishing.com/c-71-heroes-for-young-readers.aspx The text is on rhyme.
Junie
I really like the books in the Sower series.
ScoutTN
I also like Sinclair Ferguson's Heroes of the Faith books (substantial picture books) and The Church History ABC's, though it is a single book, not a series. There is an old series (oop?) called Heroes of Faith and Courage that is very good. Amazon has some of them. They are substantial picture books, about 50 pp. each. I find the ywam series to be very uneven. Some are very poorly written, even though the stories are interesting.

marisolstice
I also like Ruth Sanderson's Saints and More Saints (I like Saints slightly better). They are picture books, but with a lot of vocabulary...we go over all the new words, and then I read them aloud (to my 6 and 8 year old). KrissiK
We've been reading the YWAM series for years now. I wouldn't say the writing is stellar, but they're good and the kids enjoy them and it does keep their attention and they learn things.

wintermom
The biography of Eric Liddell (Chariots of Fire guy) is the absolute best. I believe it's in the Trailblazer series.
