Teneo
Anyone familiar with both the Developing The Early Learner set and Memoria Press's Jr K workbooks? I'm looking for something my 4 year old can do while big brother studies. I'm curious how they compare.
Renai
I'm not familiar with MP, but DEL is not something the child does on his own, if that is what you are looking for.
HomeAgain
You can't have your child do DEL on their own. It's not possible. You may want to look into something like the LUK system. BambinoLUK is right for that age, and while more expensive (I bought mine used), they can be used over and over and are self correcting. Teneo
Thanks for both of your prompt, thoughtful replies. :) I'm not thinking on her own type work because she has enough of that between clay, beads, blocks, paint, etc. I'm thinking of something she can sit at the table next to big brother and I can take turns helping them. Something where she's not tempted to practice letters in his handwriting book, etc.
ALB
I really liked using DEL for my older two at that age. They enjoyed using it, and the activities were pretty creative and different from your standard preschool workbooks. My favorite preschool combo is DEL, ETC primers, and HWOT. I also like R&S Counting with Numbers for some gentle math. Having said that, MP products are excellent and I'm sure they would do a great job, too.
