CadenceSophia Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 This is a photo from our 20 week anatomy scan (2 months ago). Gestational age on the scan says 18+3 but I can't remember if that was before or after we manually adjusted to match the due date we are going with..dating scan and this one at first said baby is about 10 days smaller than due date. So, it is the best shot we ever got. It is not a great view of the important bits as far as I can tell. I do trust the tech who said it was a boy but I can't see it. In fact, it looks a lot more like a "hamburger" to me, and I haven't found any boy u/s shots that look the same. The blob in the middle looks more like boy parts but that is apparently part of the stomach :) We are most likely going to do another scan in a week or two for a slight concern so we don't have too long to be in suspense. UCF612 Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I'd say boy...but I'm not sure. Definitely not as obvious as some boy shots. My first son's ultrasound was super obvious. He knows long before I do, or before the tech says! He also says boy. ETA. We have a dissenter. I asked dh to tell me what he saw that made him say boy, and he said that the angle I was holding my laptop made him focus on the wrong place, and he thinks it could be a girl now that he looked while holding the laptop himself. This angle seems to be straight on, which might not give an accurate image of the shape of the bits. CadenceSophia Posted January 19, 2017 Author Share Posted January 19, 2017 Ok I'll stick with her opinion :) We really struggled to get even this picture as the baby was super uncooperative so I don't know that she got a better view (I was watching closely on the overhead monitor) but I am willing to believe I am just really bad at this ultrasound interpreting thing!
