Jean in Newcastle
Do the million things that have piled up since I've been sick. I am starting to feel better but I'm not all the way there yet.
Melissa in Australia
Had serious phone call with placement agency about how we are not copping. I had to be forceful to get my point across that seperation is not working and I cannot think of anything else to do to stop the twins being bullied. They told me they cannot work with me until I am less angry, and when I think of a way that they can help me then let them know. Bang head. I am completely spent. I social workers are so impossible to communicate with Edited January 18, 2017 by Melissa in Australia

Selkie
Melissa, hope you get some help soon. I am irritated on your behalf at those social workers and their condescending attitudes. Of course they should be helping you, that is their job! Today: •school •more office work - paid 35 bills yesterday (business stuff) and still have a pile left •post office run •mop kitchen floor

MysteryJen
Good morning! Dropped dd2 off at school after am practice. I will leave shortly to take ds2 to the cc. Normally, he will get himself there, but today he is leaving after class to go to the art museum with dmil. After that, I will manage the boy and try to get him working hard. 12.5 years seems to be when the wheels come off of working here, lasting until 14. But lucky ds3, I only really have him to manage. To do: daily chores educate boy jen things PM practice run/pick up ds2 at dmil pick everyone up home Have a great day!
Jean in Newcastle
Melissa - next time you talk to them I would stress that you don't simply want advice on how to cope. You want to disrupt the placement. (If this is what you want. I'm assuming it is because of your other thread. ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SKL
Melissa, they should be pointing you toward resources that can suggest possible solutions. Surely your 8yo isn't the first kid in their jurisdiction who ever needed services for RAD. :/ I hope you work something out soon. What about sending him to a summer day camp or comparable ad hoc arrangement? If you can stick it out until school starts, at least then you will have time to think about what to do next.
SKL
Happy Wednesday everyone! I have a bunch of work that I was suppose to finish "yesterday" (which means before my clients / auditors look for it this morning). Well it's 11am and I finished all but one of those projects. I tried to get up early, but I just tossed and turned and worried instead. Done: Packed kids' gym clothes. Kids up & off to the school bus. Changed out piggie's bedding. Took out the garbage. Some housework. A little reading. A few hours of "work" work. To do: Lots more work. Finish the laundry. A little more housework and reading. A little exercise. Try to get my calendar up to date? Pay some bills. Some filing. Kids' work - they have a lot of homework tonight. Kid to gymnastics. Work at gymnastics. Read-aloud. Kids to bed. Work.
