Miss Peregrine
DD was stung today at soccer practice on the neck. There is a small little bump where it stung her, not any swelling to speak of really. But she said it became hard to take deep breaths afterwards(within a few minutes). She continued practicing after taking a few minutes to rest and catch her breath. She told me all of this after I picked her up, btw. Anyway, not affecting two systems that I'm aware of but breathing is a pretty important system, IMO. Is this epipen worthy? She has been stung a few times but the breathing thing is new. . . Edited October 28, 2016 by Miss Peregrine
Melissa in Australia
I would think it just because of the location of the sting
ikslo
I'd bring her to an allergist and have her tested.
MomatHWTK
Breathing issues can turn very bad very fast. Take her to the doctor. :grouphug:
Miss Peregrine
Thanks. She is fine now, but I know allergies can get worse.
Ethel Mertz
Definitely have her checked out. My bee allergy got worse over time. And, if you need an epi-pen, given the outrageous price fixing on them, I would ask a doctor about the old fashioned kit: a vial of one dose of epinephrine with a syringe.
