OnMyOwn
My ds is interested in this school, but is it going to be an issue that we are not members of a church? He is a believer and is very familiar with the Bible, we've just never found a church we wanted to attend regularly.
Angie in VA
I don't believe church membership is required. We have friends who received a $500/year scholarship (among others) b/c their pastor wrote a letter stating they were church members (I assume "of good standing"), but I just looked at the financial aid page to link it and don't see it. That option was available for having an alumnus write a letter on your behalf as well. AIUI, it was either the pastor's letter or the alumnus' letter that got the $500/year, not both. But if it's no longer offered, there ya go! Our friend graduated from there last year.
Junie
No, you don't need to be a member of a church.

It is a beautiful campus.
OnMyOwn
Thank you. Someone had posted recently about having to send proof of church membership to a christian school their child was accepted to and it made me wonder.
FaithManor
Last I knew, you did have to have a clergy character reference letter in order to be accepted.
Renaissance Mom
Call the admissions department and ask. They are extraordinarily helpful (and patient!).
OnMyOwn
Last I knew, you did have to have a clergy character reference letter in order to be accepted. He does know a Reverend socially who would write him a character reference, but we don't attend his church (or any other).
J&JMom
I am a graduate of Liberty U (distance) and didn't need to specify a church. I will concur that alums can grant incoming students a $500 a year scholarship for residential only. I have called the local high school to let them now I have this scholarship to give away. Only 1 student has taken advantage so far. Now my kids can get an automatic annual $1,000 legacy scholarship if they choose to attend. kroe1
DD16 was accepted there just on SAT scores and homeschool Transcript. I think she may have written an essay also. No letters of reference were required.
