Tap Posted October 23, 2016 Share Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) DD18 is in AP Calculus at the local high school. One thing that she struggles with, is understanding the 'why' of the material. She understands the material in the moment of learning from her teacher, but struggling to maintain what she learns and to apply it in different contexts. She uses Khan academy to get a different teaching approach, but again it really only teaches the how. She needs the why, so the material will stick in her brain. She is dyslexic so videos are her preferred method of learning but she can read to gain understanding, it just takes her quite a bit of time to do so. Any suggestions for videos that explain the why of calculus?
