El...
Unless it didn't pop when unsealed, was covered in blue fuzz, and smelled peculiar, yes!
FriedClams
Nope. But I'm a nervous eater.
Lady Marmalade
Nope. But, I wouldn't eat it because it's a quality issue, NOT because of safety. I go through my home canned goods every spring and discard jams that are more than three years old. They start to decline in quality after about 18 months or so, in my experience.

City Mouse
As long as it looked and tasted fine, I would eat it.
gingersmom
Why would you want to? I toss my home canned jam after 1 year.
zoobie
I just cleaned out some older jam that went "missing" in our storage space to reuse the jars for apple butter. It was probably 4 years old and did not smell super duper, and the texture was definitely different than fresh. I'd toss it.
Ravin
If the seal was good, and there's not foul smell, etc., I'd at least try it before tossing. I have had some home canned items that fermented and went rather vinegary. Still edible, but why would you want to? If it still tastes ok to you (or to an unpicky kid, lol), then I say eat it. IsabelC
As long as it hasn't fermented or gone totally mouldy, I'd taste it, and eat it if it tastes good. If it smells/tastes fine but you're still nervous about eating it as is, use it for jam tarts or something else you can bake in a hot oven. BTW, the most special jam I ever ate was a jar that my grandmother had made, it somehow got lost at the back of the pantry and we ate it about 10 years after she had died.
