Tap
I wonder if, in the future the job title Astronaut will be common? I can see talking to a fried in the grocery store. ME: Hi, Gina what is your son John up to after graduation? GINA: Oh, he is going to check out a couple of Universities with Astronaut training programs. ME: That's great! Has he visited the campuses, or just going to go for it? GINA: He visited 2, but is holding out for his favorite, because they have the best funding and are already off world and orbiting the first semester. That is hard to compete with! Slache
I won't be broke. People will never learn to write by hand. Water will not be consumed. Periods will have an off switch.
Crimson Wife
Periods will have an off switch. From what acquaintances have told me, the Depo shot and the IUD do this. Personally, I would get nervous about the possibility of being pregnant and not knowing. One of my co-workers at a previous job got pregnant on the Depo shot and didn't realize it until she felt the baby moving! She had no prenatal care until she was already 20 weeks along. Fortunately she wasn't a heavy drinker but she had consumed some alcohol during the time when she hadn't realized she was pregnant. Now if there was a way to shorten periods from 4-5 days to 24 hours without totally eliminating them, that would be fabulous :D

Maybe like a faucet? I wouldn't want to not have one. I don't think that's healthy.
creekland
I wonder if someday cockleburrs will be worth something and we'll look back on all these hours/days we've spent building burn piles and say, "Oh, if only..."

So so sad...

Lol... My daughter pointed out that the fibre under cape weed can be rolled into a thread like cotton... If only we could figure out how to monetise it...
DawnM
I would love something like the body, scan but better. Something that would be covered by insurance. Something that would be able to really find something if it is there, and alert doctors to what is wrong. And a machine like the Jetson's that would spit out the food you want, already cooked and ready to eat, but healthy.

I still remember the moment when my mother told me that periods went on for DAYS every single month! I was horrified.
AK_Mom4
I want my visor and haptic gloves for computer work. I want actual news in my news feed and not all this sponsored carp. I want year round fresh fruit and veggies. Hmmm...... Maybe the things I want aren't so far out after all!
