mysticmomma
My dd needs a bible. She has a kids bible, but is getting involved in youth group this year. She is very anti pink, flowers, etc. She loves animals and peace signs and tie die. We are not Catholic, if that makes a difference. Suggestions? LinRTX
This is around the age we got ours an adult study Bible and a Bible cover of their choice.
Dmmetler
My mother got my DD a teen study bible that came with a plain white cover and markers to customize it. She may well be the only person in the world with a snake on her bible...
Lisa in the UP of MI
DD was given a regular adult Bible when she went to youth group last year.
MerryAtHope
I'd go with a regular adult study Bible as well (and there are tons of non-girly cover choices out there). Teen Bibles often have added devotionals on subjects you may or may not want her to explore just yet (or may want to work through with her rather than have her read on her own). kirstenhill
I gave my DD just a "regular" Bible with a sturdy leather color in a color she likes. We decided together that she didn't want a "study Bible" to be her regular personal Bible because the "study Bibles" were all lot larger/heavier than ones without notes. I gave her an old Life Application study Bible of mine (again a regular adult one, not teen) and encouraged her to keep that handy if she was ever confused about something or needed more background information.
