Popular Post redsquirrel
This is SO embarrassing, but I figured it would brighten someone's day. Go ahead and laugh at me, it sure made dh and me crack up... I am getting ready to start 6th grade after Labor day. I'm almost done with my lesson planning, but really not feeling mentally ready to take it all on. Little things are slipping through the cracks, I'm forgetting what day it is, I'm asking the same question twice in a row etc. In my preparation for the coming year I decided to do some reading of threads on my science program. I'm using CPO earth science for the second time. I just wanted a little refresher from the Hive, kwim? So, I'm reading through old science threads, looking at my materials, looking at worksheets..trying to get my head in the game. I come across some really helpful threads, very instructive. I am really learning a lot of stuff I didn't know and thinking of new ways to think about the program. Jeepers, some of the teachers on this board are just so smart and good at teaching science. I'm never going to be that good. Reader.... I was reading posts written by me. (you saw this coming, didn't you. I know you did) I don't know who that squirrel lady is, but she sounds smart. I wish she would show up and teach my kid because I bet she would do a good job. I give up. :svengo:

I have done that before when looking at my old journals, though I obviously knew I wrote them. I read something and say, "Well, that was astute. Funny I don't actually *do* that." GailV
Well, you really did write the best posts on the subject .... As soon as you said CPO Earth Science I knew where this was headed because I always associate you with that curriculum.
madteaparty
That squirrel lady IS so smart. As a matter of fact, I have some personal messages from her on Cpo science that I should forward you ;) Middle school burn out is real. And I've homeschooled for all of five minutes. Mine is in online classes this semester. All of them.

redsquirrel
I am so glad you all found it as funny as I did. I really did laugh at myself. And all too often I do say "who is this idiot?" about myself...and that's not good. I should take it a little easier on myself. We all should I just need to channel my inner competent adult and we'll make it through the year just fine, lol.

Forget-Me-Not
So funny! I was in a full on panic over 8th grade science yesterday! I wish there was a wiser version of my old self to stumble across! :D
redsquirrel
Logic stage science panics are the WORST. Seriously, on the logic stage board, we regularly have people posting (myself included) about a full science meltdown. It is it's own genre. The good thing is that the other parents are very supportive and take it seriously and really try to talk you down.
