Do shrimp and mushrooms go together?

I'm making shrimp risotto for dinner tonight (in my Instant Pot, squee!), and I'm kind of craving something mushroom-y. Could I add mushrooms to shrimp risotto, or do those two flavors really not blend right? I can't think of anything I've ever eaten that included both elements.

This looks interesting. What sort of flavor does pecorino cheese have? I've never heard of it.

 

It's often called pecorino romano--similar to parmesan cheese, hard and fairly dry, easily grated. It's actually all we use since I tend to have an allergic reaction to parmesan cheese but very rarely to romano. IMO (given my not very refined palate), romano and parmesan are interchangeable.

According to that they're not, but I've never had anyone tell me I was using one incorrectly :D
