I just took a look at my book and it is the same book as arcadia mentioned. I will say that the experiments are not edible foods in case you were looking for that too being in the kitchen and all. Otherwise, good book and does explain the chemistry behind experiments like egg in a bottle or why standing on eggs won't break.

Adventures in Atoms and Molecules is another good book that explains the science behind it. However, the experiments are limited (at least in the one book that I have ), but the materials that are used are more basic.
