How old are the kids you have in the toddler carriers? any difference in the different companies that make the toddler ones? How old are the kids you have in the toddler carriers? any difference in the different companies that make the toddler ones? I have a toddler Tula and DS has been in it since he was 18 months or so. He gets heavy but I can still carry him for a few hours at a time because the carrier is so well designed. (Full disclosure - I'm an out of shape, 20 pounds overweight 35 year old so if I can do it then I think anyone could.) We use it a lot less now than we used to because he is getting a bit big for me to carry (we are starting to look silly) and he can walk longer distances by himself easier now.
