Murrayshire
We are looking for editions that are easy to travel with to and from co-ops and ones with a good size print. I don't want to have to break out the magnifying glass!! I've looked on Amazon for reviews but it is hard to gauge what's really true. This will be for my 8th and 10th graders! Thanks! Murrayshire
Really. Nobody has their favorites.
Kareni
This will be for my 8th and 10th graders! I like Rodale's The Synonym Finder, but it's by no means pocket sized! It served my daughter well from grade 7 through college. Regards, Kareni

Murrayshire
We use an electronic dictionary/thesaurus, Franklin Merriam-Webster. We use an app but she'll need the books for her co-op class. Thank you!
yvonne
Decades ago, a Webster's pocket dictionary like this served me well from Grade 7 through my college years as a lit major. It was small enough that I used it all the time, but thorough enough that I could almost always find the words I was looking for. I also used a Roget's Thesaurus in dictionary form. Haven't been able to find a good, newer one for my children to use. :( They use the massive Roget's suggested in SWB's WWS or WTM. It's so big, though, that they have to be pretty desperate to pull it out.
