I'm overweight, over 40 and have been stuck trying to lose weight too. I've had radiation and they told me one of the long term side effects would be thyroid problems. I've never been tested, but started taking Brown seaweed tablets. They aren't miracle weight loss pills, but I feel like I'm not gaining weight by looking at food. Other than your weight, do you see any other benefits from taking it? I had six weeks of radiation to my upper torso(ribcage to chin). It was in 1994 for Hodgkin's Disease. The seaweed is also billed as heavy metal detox and I do feel it had some benefits in that area.
