Who's going to tackle healthy eating/exercise with me Friday?

Hi Y'all!  Anyone else here?  Just me - LOL!

 

I didn't post Wed and/or Thurs - pc problems.

 

Not a good meal day! 

 

Breakfast:   2-3 ak mak crackers with quinoa/pesto, peanut butter, coffee

 

Lunch - too late and greasy - 5 guys hamburger and fries

 

Dinner - side salad and 1 1/2 slices pizza (restaurant)

 

Exercise - getting ready to do that now/3o min. treadmill

 

Water - not my usual 1/2 my body weight in ounces

 

 

 

How have y'all done today?

Breakfast: Sweet potatoe patties, chicken apple sausages, a banana.

 

Lunch: Leftover salmon with avocado salsa.

 

Dinner: Leftover pot roast with veggies.

 

Snacks: Cashews, tea.

 

Exercise: Not ready yet after baby.

 

Water: Not great. Maybe 60 ounces? I didn't know I was supposed to be counting. ;)

Breakfast -- cheese toast and coffee

 

Lunch -- salad and Wheat Thins

 

Dinner-- Shredded chicken breast topped with sautéed veggies and an ounce of feta cheese

 

Snack -- An ounce of Baked Lays cheddar sour cream potato chips

 

Exercise -- a walk and a bunch of cleaning

 

ETA -- forgot to list cantaloupe for dinner

I was bad and missed the bootcamp session I signed up to attend today. I used to go all the time and registered for this one off class to get back into the swing of it but I woke up and it was raining. Normally not an issue but my fitness suitable raincoat is MIA (I think it's packed for camping at our storage unit) and all of my synthetic workout pants were in the wash. Not going to rainy day 6am boot camp in cotton leggings and no rain shell, lol. I stayed in and did a video instead. Planning a longer hike this weekend. And retrieving rain shell.

 

Meals:

 

Breakfast- oatmeal and cashews.

 

snack- popcorn

 

Lunch - skipped and that's dumb.

 

Snack- banana and iced plain coffee.

 

Dinner- It's pizza night. I am making mine a portabella mushroom filled with garlic, onions, tomatoes, goat cheese, artichoke hearts, crumbled bacon and pesto. Figuring on a spinach salad on the side.

 

After dinner- probably more popcorn. It's low salt/just a touch of fat AND poses my only hope of not breaking into the kids movie candy, lol.

 

Water- I don't track this. I do drain my water bottle about 2 times in an average day.

ahh, lucy, don't call yourself bad.  

 

I think it's very strategic to "leverage" your options.  I'd opt for popcorn too.  Do try to drink water though as it may actually be that your body wants instead of junk food.

 

ok, I forgot to add that over the last 3 days I've had maybe 6 homemade cookies.  oh boy, dd and I have the recipe down and I REALLY need to not go there often b/c not only do I like the baked version but cookie batter. 

 

now, after you read this, forget it....lol!

I know my water intake is decent (skin and, uh, that other indicator of urine color). I really only feel bad (more bummed) for missing the bootcamp. I was feeling excited to wake up and get outside, open the door at 5:30 wide awake and rain, rain, rain. Ugh.

 

Popcorn isn't something I feel badly about. I'm not low carb or trying to be, it's portioned out to be about 125 calories and it's a much lower calorie alternative to stuff I am cutting out or back on in my diet. I've been on a popcorn kick lately but it will shift to something else at some point. It always does. So long as it's not something I have minimal self control with, I'm happy. We have homemade pizza and movie night every Friday. Kids are picking their movie now but we are waiting until dad gets home from work.

 

I remember now that we have some cherries so I'm going to call some of those my dessert. I love cherry season.

I can't decide if my appetite is lower for some reason or I've just had less time to prep for midday food. My overall biggest issue this week is not eating lunch. I'm going to try and plan next week's lunches this weekend so I don't skip lunch. It's just not a great thing to do.
