Janeway
I do not want babyish, but I do not want boring and dry. My intent is not to make him a fluent French speaker by the end of the year. I want to complete 1 year worth of high school French over the next two years. I have MP First Start French and Rosetta Stone French (multiple levels, the home school edition). I could use that and try to be creative, use the internet, continue to work with exchange students and such to bring more to it. I prefer to not spend more money. But BJU and Galore Park do look more interesting. But I have no experience with them. And some people have mentioned other programs, but I already did a search and cannot find them or recall what they were.
theelfqueen
My kids really like Mango languages (they're using Russian and Koine Greek, though, not French) for free via our library's website.
melmichigan
Mr. G's currclick class might be one idea.
Guest
I don't know if I would consider it fun, but my 8th grade dd is going to be using Getting Started with French and Duolingo. I have used Getting Started with Latin and Spanish in the past, and the series is really good.
RootAnn
I'm starting my two younger dds on GSWF this next year just to get their feet wet. I have heard good things about Mr G's class for something that doesn't move too fast or take a lot of time. (Edited to add that I just found out that Mr G's wife is the creator of Easy Peasy All in One Homeschooling. Crazy!) momacacia
Does anyone know if Mr. G's uses a text at all?
melmichigan
Does anyone know if Mr. G's uses a text at all? Yes, my kids use a text with his class. I'd have to search for it, but it's a common international edition if I remember correctly.
