And generally speaking, I'm not a fan of the "characteristics" lists - he doesn't really match anyone's model very well. I wouldn't worry about it, and in the end it really doesn't matter! If you need to know, then I'd go with a complete assessment and if you don't need to know then it's fine to proceed without it! As far as whether you're doing this right, you're going to be the best judge of that! If your DS is thriving, you're doing it right! If he isn't, then maybe consider a change. Hope this helps!
