SnMomof7
Our diagnosis day was June 13th, and DD 2 (10) DID get an ASD diagnosis with the potential for ADHD (both ways) if we went next door to the psychiatrist for an official diagnosis. 12 page report. I'm relieved, to be honest. It isn't my imagination that homeschooling and parenting this girly has been very difficult all these years. Just wanted to update :).
Tiramisu
Thanks for the update. I feel the same way about parenting mine having been very hard. It's not easy but it helps to have an explanation. I hope you stay in touch here. It's nice to have other moms of girls to commiserate with. Wishing you the best. Hilltopmom
I hear ya! We've only done a school district eval so far & our lives have been so chaotic this past year that I still have not schedule her full neuro psych. But yeah, even just the school district eval gave me the sense of peace that "it was t just my poor teaching", but that she has real huge struggles. Hang in there.

kbutton
It can be hard to hear and a relief all at the same time. Best wishes as you start down the path to finding out what the official diagnosis can help you both with.
SnMomof7
It is a relief really. There were a couple of months when I was afraid we WOULDN'T get a diagnosis, and would be left without direction. I'm thankful I have it.
