Who's going to tackle Sunday with me?

Recommended Posts

Here are the plans.  Not sure whether reality will resemble them.  :)

  • Get up early and work to send out some reports.  [nope, too tired.]
  • Sign up for some free library summer camps.  The registration opens today and the slots fill up fast.  [signed up for 1 camp.  The others aren't open yet.]
  • Get the kids ready and go visit the farm camp they are going to this summer.  May 1 is the only day they allow visitors.  [done]
  • Get the kids to do some math and writing while I work.
  • Work work work.
  • Some laundry so the kids have something to wear on Monday.
  • Maybe a read-aloud.
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work.

I am trying to be organized like SKL with bullets :)

  • Trying not to get sick (feel a little on the edge), skipping church in exchange for more sleep
  • Finish last semester assignment before finals - YEAH
  • Make something healthy and palatable to eat
  • Pack work snack
  • Go to work - hopefully have some energy left for it

It has been rainy and chilly the last four days.  Blah!  But good news is that the contractors on our bathrooms aren't going to start for two more weeks.  I was not prepared AT All for them showing up tomorrow which was the original plan.

Today:

Mass at 10

breakfast at home

Kids work on history paper and other school work

Deep clean study so we can transform it into our closet during renovations

Quick grocery shopping for at least food for tonight and tomorrow

recycling out

We came home early from camping because Dd is sick and Dh slept only one hour Friday night.

We've been to church and I am thinking about making lunch, but will probably just let everyone find his or her own.

To do:

Put up tents to dry in the back yard.

Put camping gear away.

Pick up the dog.

Make sure piano practice happens.

Maybe a little yardwork.

Well the rain blew off by lunch so dh weeded all the beds.

I made 9 mcmuffins for breakfast for today and in the morning!

I spent was held hostage  an hour in playroom with Sophia Grace.  :D

I planted flowers on the screened in porch.

Whole house was vacuumed and dusted and bathrooms wiped down.

2 loads of laundry wash and folded and put away.

All new AC filters were replaced for the month of May!

Supper --taco soup is simmering on the stove.

I'm now hanging out on the screened in porch with a glass on vino chilling.

We made it to the farm camp open house - with 1 minute to spare.  I guess I should have checked the times in advance - it was supposed to end at 2pm.  They did let us look around after 2pm.  I liked what I saw, not that I thought I wouldn't.  The kids had a good time.

Long drives in the country are so relaxing for me.  That is, once I know where I'm going and don't have to search for those teeny tiny county road markers ....

Now back to work.
