April is Cursed

DD2 has strep...or so we think, she has the white spots on her tonsils, and red spots in the back of her throat, but the first rapid strep came back negative, as did the culture...but the second rapid strep came back positive. This started 7 days ago, she's mostly better but still has the white spots. DD1 now has a sore throat as of tonight. This morning DS woke up sick. Rapid strep negative, dr says definitely not strep, probably a bad allergy. Now he has a white spot in his throat. My throat is kind of sore but I can't tell if i'm getting sick or if it's allergies.

Oh and my washing machine is broken. Yay me. *sigh*

This is the third year in a row that April has brought awful illnesses or ailments to us. :(

I just want everyone healthy again. I'm such a germaphobe, I can't stop thinking about all the sick germs everywhere. Oh and I disinfected everything on Tuesday...but still...kids still getting sick.

"April is the cruelest month" is one of our family sayings, from T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land:

April is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

Hang in there, April is almost over!  :grouphug:

October is my cursed month. One year I had the flu, one year a stomach flu, one year I got bit by something that swelled up my finger then I had allergic reaction to the antibiotic they gave me, and one year I got an abscessed tooth that required a redo root canal (4 visits to just fix the root canal) AND I had another allergic reaction to a different antibiotic! Both allergic reactions resulted in full body hives for a week. I hate October.
