Dmmetler
I received a note along with DD's NME results that she was eligible. I'm just wondering how they'd take having the "Teacher" and "Parent" be the same person. It seems like a good year to apply, since she got gold in both the NCEE and the NME this year-and doesn't plan to take the NME again. http://www.etclassics.org/pages/Awards
Gil
I have never heard of it. We aren't into classics but the webpage you linked says that ALL teachers who administer the test are given forms, so I'm sure a lot of HSers have been given forms/applied. It should not be a problem, at least one that isn't explained simply with a little note by putting SAME (Home schooled) on the line for parent after listing yourself as the teacher Unless there is a fee involved or a REALLY complicated application process then just apply, worst case scenario is that your kid doesn't win it, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Gil
In 2013, a student from Lander Catholic Homeschool won, so yeah, you'll be fine.
