JenniferB
I'm curious about the Hive mind on this, if you were within driving distance would you attend? What would you like to have on the itinerary? Our weekend is almost all planned out, but there's some room to add something on Friday and I'm all ears on ideas. YaelAldrich
Is this retreat specifically Christian in orientation? I'm on the East coast, but I would be interested if it were religion neutral. I'll have just finished up my homeschool conference and signed on our new condo (please G-d!) so I will need such a rest! ETA: I read the description. I am an Orthodox Jew and obviously am religious. I would need some accommodations due to the Jewish Sabbath from Friday night to Saturday night and to bring my own kosher food, but I would be more than happy to share my Sabbath with all who are interested! It would be interesting if nothing else. Edited April 4, 2016 by YaelAldrich
YaelAldrich
I so want to plan a retreat for Jewish homeschoolers and put out feelers a couple of years ago. Even with me finding a great but cheap place (I estimated per family $400-500 for Friday through Sunday); most families couldn't afford a weekend away. :( A real retreat like this is everyone wants, but no one can afford. Our costs in similar accommodations on the East Coast would be at least $1000 per family. How are you doing it so cheaply? naturegirl
I was interested in traveling to this, as I love visiting the northwest, until I read the description and realized it was a religious event. Attending something like this sounds wonderful. If it was secular it would be right up my alley.

I am not that far away, but I don't fly and wouldn't drive that far myself. I hope you have lots of fun!!!!
Hypatia.
If this were a secular event then I would definitely be interested.

OhioMomof3
Jennifer, I'm nowhere near driving distance. However, I wanted to tell you that I would definitely be interested in attending a retreat like the one you are hosting. It sounds awesome. I would be interested in the specifics of sharing truth, beauty, and goodness---as in, strategies to implement the vision. Enjoy!
YaelAldrich
Yes there were be quite a few Christian prayers starting and ending and throughout. How many is "quite a few" and could you give a more detailed schedule and how religion will fit into each part? I'm still interested; if you don't mind an equally religious Jew being there. I won't be offended if I'm not wanted.

Bocky
I am wondering if there is a schedule available yet? Also, what age range will the talks be targeted at? I am interested in attending, but not if the talks will mostly be focused on homeschooling elementary.
LucyStoner
I saw this on FB. I am interested in a retreat locally but the weekend didn't work out. Also, a secular or non-sectarian option would probably be more appealing. That said the event sounds and looks lovely and I hope it is a smashing success for all involved. You've obviously worked hard and I LOVE the title. I did pass it on to a religious friend I think might be interested. We are definitely in the same area and probably on some of the same home schooling groups on FB.
