underthebridge Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Does anyone know if Math in Focus explicitly teaches the stacking algorithm for adding multi digit numbers after student master the concept behind it? DD7 is in first grade and so far, they are only doing smaller numbers, but I hope MIF does eventually teach the traditional algorithms eventually. TIA!
