I rent. I already have a dog who cannot get along with other dogs. (And we already live in a "divided house," in which we have to go through ridiculous machinations to keep the cat and the dog from going after each other all the time.) I know people have their reasons and perhaps not all are horrible...but I cannot imagine the confusion/sadness of a family dog getting dropped at a shelter. Hmmm, it looks as though he may have been taken by a rescue organization, which, if so, is definitely a step in the right direction. I spent a couple of hours last night seriously pondering whether there was any possible way we could take him in and kept concluding that we just can't do it.
