I'm only online for a minute but I wanted to post an update. Things were scary last night, but the doctors seem to have solved the issues and today has been a much better day. Dh had a bad reaction to the medication they use to suppress the immune system, but apparently it was a common reaction and they knew exactly what to do for it.

 

One of the surgeons came in from his home twice last night -- even in the middle of the night -- to check on dh. I thought that was amazing. He is so nice!

 

Tomorrow, dh is having another surgery so they can do the final closure of his incision. It was supposed to be done today, but the doctors wanted to wait an extra day because of the issues last night. They said a day of rest would be better. I thought that was a good idea.

 

I'll try to post more later. You are all being so kind, and I don't want you to think I'm ignoring you!
