Junie
I'm thinking about getting a bread box. The bread has to be stored on the kitchen counter, and right now it is just a pile of bread, sandwich rolls, hot dog buns, etc. I am trying to contain the clutter. I'm looking at a few on line, but since I've never used a bread box, I'm not sure what I would like best. Bamboo? Stainless steel? Curved top? Window? If anyone has experience with this, please let me know. BTW: It probably should be large. Because 6 kids.
plansrme
How about a basket with a lid? I have one from Pottery Barn that sits on my hearth so we can stash laptops in it. It would hold a lot of bread. You probably should not listen to me, though; if my bread had to live on the counter, we would all have to go low carb and get rid of it. KungFuPanda
My bread lives in a large, shallow basket on top of my microwave. Most bread boxes only hold a few loaves, so this is more versatile since I can stand the loaves on end. It holds our chips too. I probably have 4 kinds of bread in there now and some tortilla chips.
