Porridge
Interesting article in the Atlantic about personalized paths through high school http://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2015/11/no-tests-grades-classes/415509/
Chrysalis Academy
Very cool, thanks for sharing. I'm always inspired by models like that. The one thing that makes me sad, and gives me trepidation about homeschooling high school, is that my dd won't have a community of peers like that to work, collaborate, and problem solve with. She wouldn't have it at the local high school either, but I wish she could have it and that's the part that feels beyond my capacity to create.
Tsuga
We have that as an option school in our district. It's not as prestigious but it's really cool.
Porridge
My kids are still young but I find this quite inspiring. I especially appreciate the link they provide to their evaluation rubric. It's helpful to have a formal way to assess learning that is not wedded to the traditional test/points/letter grade system.
