kathkath
We started dd11 recently with tablet class thinking it would not be as intimidating as aops--aops seemed like such a jump being that fat book with small print. But dd got very irritated with tc bc the video format is so slow. She would rather zip through by reading lessons herself. So we will begin aops after thanksgiving. Dmmetler
We did a bridge year of LOF between SM and AOPS. In 20/20 hindsight, DD probably didn't need it, but it reassured me, especially since she was only 7 when we started PA. I will say, though, that we've been able to do a book a year pace on AOPS since (actually, usually a book and part of another one, like C&P or number theory), which may be because she had that bridge year. If we'd started with AOPS, I imagine it might have been a slower pace overall (and we'll see on Geometry, since we didn't actually start AOPS this year until November due to wanting to go over the topics that would be on the SAT).
