hands-on-mama
Hi! I'm looking for something to help us study through the entire Bible. It doesn't have to happen over 1 year. We tried Foundations, but I think it would work better when they are older. I want something fun that engages both of them. They are fine with coloring. My oldest reads really well. My youngest is an emerging reader. What am I looking for? Should I just retry BSGFAA??
shernandez
Ok, so this may not really help, but Friends and Heroes is releasing a Bible Study in December for kids. DD and I just finished the one week preview and she loves it, so I will be purchasing it when it is out. It doesn't really cover the whole Bible (focuses more on stories in the Bible and bounces between OT and NT), but I did really enjoy teaching it and she loved doing it. We were doing Bible Road Trip, which was nice, but F&H just fit her better. She is a fluent rider, so I just printed out a Bible chart with all the books and chapters, and she has her own Bible reading time in the AM where she works her way through. We then talk about what she read if she wants to share.
Staceyshoe
I have a few shelves full of various Bible programs. (I *love* Bible resources and can't resist when I see a new program!) BSGFAA is what came to mind when I read your question. I haven't found anything else for young children that is as comprehensive (literally going through the entire Bible) and still kid-friendly. Mama2boys1girl
Is BSGFAA Bible Study Guide for All Ages? I would imagine that's the only thing that would fit that acronym but I just want to be sure. 😊 We've just started using it a month ago and really like it. I wanted to try it without having a big financial commitment and DS6 wanted to do the same sheet his brother is doing. So both DS6 and DS8 are doing the Intermediate pages. We only do 1 sheet per week and I read all of it to them. We basically do it together but they each have their own sheet. We are learning a lot.

hands-on-mama
I will look into Bible Road Trip. We might just go back to Bible Study Guide for all Ages. I didn't even think about letting you 6year old do the intermediate sheets as well!

ExcitedMama
Bible Treasures http://cathyduffyreviews.com/bible/stories-from-gods-word.htm It's a no frills comprehensive focus that slowly moves through the Bible. We are still pretty much in the beginning now and moving closer to Joseph. Each day I read the page to DS (DD sometimes listens in) and he reads and answers and writes in the answer to the questions. It's definitely not a fun curriculum but it does get done and I'm very happy with how comprehensive it is. It holds his attention and he definitely remembers it. He's impressed his AWANA leaders with his knowledge which I think is due in large part to how thoughtfully passages are explained. Again it's sllloooow but I think that is really helping him take it in and understand it more. By comparison I bought TOG primer and he dreads it and it is not getting done so I'm glad to have something quick and easy that he wants to do so it actually gets done. I wanted something fun but I didn't realize how time consuming it would be to just get through the basics everyday!
ScoutTN
The Jesus Storybook Bible has a free, downloadable curriculum to go with it that would be appropriate for your kids.
