Nicole not in CA
I guess I should clarify: how much coffee would you use to make a pot of coffee for company? I usually use about 1 tbsp per 6 oz. I wouldn't mind it even stronger (2 tbsp per cup) but I can't handle that much caffeine (heartburn - yuck). When I've made coffee for company, I've used 1 tbsp per 6 or 8 oz, but people react to it like it is too strong. So I'm having company this evening and would like to get the coffee right this time. :)
Snickerdoodle
I use three scoops for a whole pot. It comes a bit like dirty water but I like it that way.
H.S. Burrow
I use 6 tbsp per 12 cups. But my coffee is a medium roast. If you are using a darker roast, then you might want to decrease by 1 tbsp. HTH!:)
abbeyej
1 heaping tablespoon per (6-8oz) cup. So 12 (generous) tablespoons for a 12-cup pot.

I only put about 4 or 5!
