I had planned to use our state's homeschool code but now I"m wondering if there is a valid reason to use the umbrella's code vs. the state code. Any thoughts? cbollin Posted October 13, 2015 Share Posted October 13, 2015 When I use an umbrella school, I am not under the "homeschool laws" in my state. So, I send the results (with ACT and also PSAT) to our cover school and it's in the record that way. They'll print it on transcript too (well, the ACT anyway). Does it matter in the long run? probably not for National Merit reasons. But I think that it affects their ability to be able to host the PSAT locally. My cover school is the host school and they get a church gym as testing site for us. The extra day in the mail wasn't that big of a deal for our needs at all. But I guess it could matter if other places don't do all of that.
