Will proctors ask students to put calculators away for some questions like they do with the SAT? Huh? They don't tell students to put away the calculator for some questions on the SAT either. Students can have the calculator on the entire math section - just not during the English section! The student should be prudent in deciding when calculator use is actually quicker and when doing it without is faster. Students can have the calculator on the SAT2 math test - and the proctor has no idea which question the student is working on. Oh, nice. They should design the entire exam to be done without a calculator.
