nknapp5
I am currently using AAR level 2 with my son. I was wondering if anyone using AAR uses something different besides AAS. Wondering if there was another spelling program that worked well with it. Thanks
konglish
I decided to start with AAS, because I already owned all the tiles etc. I have found that all the work we put into AAR (learning the phonogram sounds, syllable types, syllable division rules, etc.) made the transition into AAS very easy. We have only done AAS 1, so I'm haven't decided if I like the program yet or not. But I do like that our previous work in AAR gets used! Bookworm4
We are currently using Apples and Pears with AAR. We haven't done it long enough to say how they are working together. If we don't stick with it then I will probably do AAS. We did most of level 1 in AAS last year and she seems to like that better so far. I think she prefers spelling with tiles over writing spelling though.
RKWAcademy
We just finished AAR 2. I didn't really want to use AAS. So, I picked Apples and Pears. We aren't far enough along to say if it's a winner but I like it so far.
