BlsdMama
So, granted, the source is iffy. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3214811/Our-working-memory-deal-FOUR-things-time-Study-reveals-borrow-brain-power-needed.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 But I know DS has ADD - he zones. So I'm wondering am I actually changing his working memory or am I simply changing his auditory function, his attention ability, and his visualization to such a degree that he is able to "carry" more information. I tend to believe the second........
Tiramisu
It's a interesting article. The logic of it seems to make sense for one of my dd's who has CAPD and visual glitches. She looks like she has ADHD but the np did not think so. When she had her eval for VT, the optometrist picked up on weaknesses that he said VT wouldn't help. She's a musician and he said the best thing she could do was to keep playing music. In playing music, the auditory and visual processing systems have to work hard on their own and also have to be integrated. I can see how this would help if those systems were well developed when they had to be recruited for extra work.
