ExcitedMama
I've been prioritizing teaching DS to read which has taken up the majority of the time I a lot for school each day. Depending on how much time we have left he does a couple of pages a day. I'm waiting on the arrival of Miquon Orange and MIF 1A. Should I do MIF MWF and Miquon T/Th? Should I add more time to math, like make it 15 mins a day or keep it focused on doing what he can before fatigue sets in? If I don't have a plan it won't get done so I'm wondering how best to schedule. Thanks!
Rosie_0801
I don't know what MIF is but we usually use one program until dd gets stuck, then switch to another until she gets stuck there. There have been times when I've been able to double up, doing a lesson from each.
Farrar
When we've used two programs, I do find like Rosie said, that going back and forth when the student is feeling stuck but staying the course when the student is flying through is the best way to do it. But I'm content to just do what we do and not have a set schedule.
Coco_Clark
I've used two programs every way imaginable, lol. Using one until your stuck, then the other. Changing every chapter. Doing every/other day. Having one be my school-year curricula and the other a summer enrichment. Having one be the fun Friday math. They all worked. I say stride forward and you'll figure out what you want. :) In the end (this year) I decided to simplify. One math program per child!!!
