Guest jammymommy
Thanks!! I've read the 1999 Edition, but need some direction regarding the use of WWE, WWS, FLL, and SOTW.
kiwik
The 3rd edition gives preference to Peace Hill Press products and therefore doesn't give as much info about creating your own course. Other than that is is mostly just that the homeschool market has changed a lot since 1999.
nansk
For FLL and SOTW, you can read the second or the third edition. For WWE, read the WWE Instructor Guide.
redsquirrel
I think that the logic stage section was updated for the better in the most recent edition. I have all three editions and I like that one the best. It also does a great job of redoing the history approach. Instead of focusing on what materials to use it makes it more about the process. No more getting throw into a tizzy because a Usborne decides to take a particular world history encyclopedia out of print. She does mention some specific resources, a range of them, but they are very much suggestions and not 'use this resource'. Plus, things have changed a whole lot in the past 16 years. Publishing houses have come and gone, materials are out of print, new ones have taken their place, etc.
purduemeche
I heard on a podcast from SWB that the third edition was a significant upgrade from the second. I can't remember exactly why, but you can check out the latest Read Aloud Revival podcast if you want to hear it.
