Lisa R Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 I used IEW with my older sons for years and it worked very well. It was a great program to grow with all the way through high school. However, W & R looks so interesting that I'm tempted to switch with my younger girls. Just looking for opinions from anyone who has used these 2 programs. I would say that IEW is more formulaic and works well with kids who need a lot of direction in how to write. CAP W&R would apply well to kids who are willing to write but could use some help sharpening their skills and thinking more creatively.
