Mosaicmind
Hi, I haven't been on the forums in awhile but I am getting depressed more as each day passes. We moved to Georgetown, KY in June of 2012. I had high hopes that we would get plugged into our church, a homeschool group, and make friends quickly but boy! Was I wrong. Now, I have been physically disabled since Jan 2014 and confined to laying on my back about 22 hours a day and unable to walk or drive. Insurance has denied the 2 surgeries I need about 8 times. I need the surgeries to be able to walk again and not be in horrible pain 24/7. I will be homeschooling my two youngest this year, which will help my depression but could really use some friends. It gets very lonely staying at home all the time except the 1 day a month I see my pain dr, and no I'm not exaggerating. Please help!! abacus2
I am sorry for your troubles. It is hard to meet people while housebound. The only thing I can think of is calling local churches and requesting visitors and prayer.
PagesandFields
I am in KY but really really rurally, and there is nobody anywhere nearby that shares our faith so it is really hard... Are you on Facebook? There are a few homeschool groups for Lex or Central Kentucky and I know Georgetown has come up in there before, good luck, and keep trying!
