I can't wait for public school to start. There, I said it!

School starts here in two weeks. I'm looking forward to beginning but I could use a few more weeks of summer. We'll be busy busy busy once it starts up. And I worry about the stress level of my oldest, who goes to public school and will be in high school this year. Yikes!

I'm always excited when public school starts so the parks empty out during the day again. My kids love playing with the masses, but it wears me out! The zoo and park and lake are so much more chill with 80% of the capacity gone :)

My kids are in b&m school, and I'm bummed there are only 4 more weeks of summer.  One of which they will spend away from home.  I had so many things I wanted us to do.  :(

I can't believe how quickly the summer has gone by. We have enrollment next week, and school starts the following week!

I was just thinking how cool it is that there's enough kids at the park for my kids to play super fun tag games and stuff and how it'll becoming to an end soon. Same thing with neighbor kids. Plus, we've been enjoying some of the free summer lunch school programs in the parks this year.

Our homeschool will start next week and I'm so looking forward to getting into the regular schedule, them using their time more profitably and having a reason for neighbor "grandma" to not drop the 5 year old off at our house (okay, she's only done this once, but it moves my cheese ;-). He'll start PS K in a few weeks, too.

Can't wait until all the music lessons and other classes/co-ops normalize and we have a set schedule. Summer inconsistency has made my crazy!

The only reason why I look forward to school starting is so I don't get strange looks wherever I go with my son. The rest is "whatever". I don't like the busses on the streets too making it take twice as long to get anywhere if I forget that school gets out at a certain time. LOL

I'm right there with you!! I'm ready for my kids' friends to stop interrupting school by ringing the doorbell constantly. I let the kids go and play and try to console myself with the fact that we got a lot done last month during rainy season. But, yes, it would be nice for all the kids on base to go back to their school day so we can enjoy going out and about in peace. Love that no one asks us questions though. That has been nice!

I hear you. I hate crowds and I'm ready for our neighbor kids to be back at school.

If I can manage it, I won't run any errands after 2:30, and we'll go to the park between 9:00-10:00 after all the crazy drivers are off the streets. This is the first year that both kids will be home and I'm so excited that I can avoid the dangers of walking to school at 3:00 with all the parents who are jockeying for better spots in the pickup line or places to park.
