Word Nerd Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 My cousin has been feeling something wasn't quite right with her younger DD's health for the past week or so, but there wasn't any one thing in particular that she could pinpoint. Last night, she happened to see a friend's Facebook post—a graphic about diabetes symptoms—and the alarm bells started going off. She used my aunt's blood sugar meter to test her DD, and her numbers were over 500. The ER sent them to a larger hospital in another city, and the little girl is now stabilized in the pediatric ICU and has been diagnosed with diabetes type 1.
